Mary R. Musqua Culbertson Treaty Library & Archives
We Are All Treaty People.
Welcome to our Library & Archives
The Mary R. Musqua Culbertson Treaty Library & Archives includes Primary and Secondary accounts focusing on the Numbered Treaties; Pre Confederation Treaties, Modern Treaties; and Treaty Land Entitlement. We have a large oral history collection which is currently in the process of digitization. Some of these videos are available to view in the oral histoy section.
The staff ensures accessibility for all, recognizing the importance of preserving and understanding these records for reconciliation. Through collaboration, the institution empowers Indigenous communities, fostering cultural understanding and healing. It acts as a beacon, empowering future generations to honor and cherish Indigenous heritage.

Our oral history section consists of videos of elders at meetings, interviews, talking about treaty agriculture and how life was back then. Make sure to check in every couple months as this collection will continue to grow.
-
Information in this section will come mostly from our education department. It will allow people (you) to walk through a journey Before Treaty, At Treaty, After Treaty, and Today. Also including the numbered Treaties, Indigenous worldview, and contemporary Treaty Issues.

Our collection of photos in the Library and Archives department come from archives across Canada, the RCMP Museum, Archives Canada, and something as simple of events that we do. Making sure you can also see the work of the people who work with the Office of the Treaty Commissioner.
